The Eternal Power and Godhead is a trinity The Athanasian Creed, formulated in the 5th century to combat the heresies concerning the Godhead, and to preserve from the two extremes of Unitarianism and Tritheism, undoubtedly is one of the greatest creeds of Early Church history. The true Christian faith is this, that we worship one God in trinity and trinity in unity, neither confounding the Persons nor dividing the substance. For there is one Person of the Father, another of the Son, another of the Holy Ghost.
